Now entering its third consecutive cohort, the Healthcare Leadership Program has already established a strong track record, with 21 Doctor-leaders currently active across the program's first two cohorts. The program trains and deploys primary care physicians as Doctor-leaders equipped to drive meaningful change at the community level. Built around four core pillars of Leadership, Community Engagement, Quality & Research, and Medical Knowledge & Skills, the two-year program prepares physicians not only to deliver high-quality care, but to reshape the systems around them.
Participants will begin with an intensive month-long Healthcare Academy in November–December 2026, followed by two years of structured training, mentorship, hands-on clinical practice, and project implementation.
In addition to world-class training and access to a network of local and international experts, program beneficiaries receive monthly financial assistance: 100,000 AMD for Doctor-leaders serving within their communities, and 150,000 AMD for those being deployed to regional areas. This financial assistance is provided to cover the costs of living in rural areas of Armenia, as well as the proper implementation of the quality improvement project and community health project within the framework of the Program.
